Privacy Policy

Overview

Glenops (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an independent WebOps practice based in Alexandria, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect through this website, how we use it, and your rights under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).

Last updated: August 6, 2026.

Information we collect

We collect information only when you actively provide it. Specifically:

  • Contact form — name, email address, company or website URL, service interest, and your message.
  • Lead capture modal — name, email address, phone number (optional), and service interest.

We do not run a comments section, user accounts, or an e-commerce store on this website. We do not collect payment information.

How we use your information

  • To respond to your enquiry within the stated response window.
  • To send you a single automated acknowledgement email confirming we received your message.
  • To contact you about services you expressed interest in — no unsolicited marketing.

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Third-party services

Running this website involves the following third-party processors, each operating under their own privacy policies:

  • Amazon Web Services (AWS) — hosting infrastructure. Servers located in Canada/US.
  • Cloudflare — DNS, CDN, and edge security. Processes request metadata (IP addresses) at the network edge.
  • Mailjet — transactional email delivery. Your email address is transmitted to Mailjet solely to deliver replies to your enquiry.
  • Google Analytics / Tag Manager — anonymous usage analytics, if enabled. IP anonymisation is active. You can opt out via your browser’s Do Not Track setting or a browser extension such as uBlock Origin.

Cookies

This site sets only the cookies necessary to process the contact form (a WordPress nonce cookie, valid for 24 hours). No persistent tracking cookies are set unless Google Analytics is active, in which case standard GA4 cookies (_ga, _gid) are used for anonymous session analytics.

Data retention

Enquiry emails are retained in our inbox for as long as a client relationship exists, then deleted within 12 months of the relationship ending. Form-submission rate-limit records are automatically purged after one hour.

Your rights

Under PIPEDA you have the right to request access to, correction of, or deletion of personal information we hold about you. To exercise any of these rights, email us at [email protected] with the subject line “Privacy Request”. We will respond within 30 days.

Security

All data in transit is encrypted via TLS. Form submissions are protected by nonce verification and rate limiting. We do not store form submissions in the WordPress database — they are delivered directly by email.
